Wellcome to Cefalù
Cefalù, about 70 km east from Palermo, is one of the most appealing seaside resorts in Sicily and a major tourist destination the world over. The town shines for the idyllic atmosphere of its setting. Narrow picturesque alleys, breathtaking sunsets and sandy beaches are all embraced in a warm hug by of a gigantic and standing out rocky crag, the Cephaoedium.
You can admire the traces of the multi-ethnic past dominations through the historical monuments and ancient ruins, that pepper the old towncentre and the path of “La Rocca”, how the rocky headland is called by natives.
Cefalù is also part of the National Natural Park of “Madonie”, an entire mountain chain famous for its forests of Manna Ash which acts as a natural sweetener.
The town of Cefalu has been granted by the the Club of "the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy”, founded by the National Association of Italian Municipalities, to “the most beautiful town guide”, regarding to the architectonic harmony of the town, its artistic, cultural and historic heritage, and the quality of life in terms of liveability and public services.
